El ascenso de China como inversor mundial

Resumen

Durante la última década, China se ha consolidado como uno de los principales exportadores de capital a nivel mundial, transformando los flujos globales de inversión. La inversión extranjera directa (IED) china experimentó un notable auge a mediados de la década de 2010, seguido de una desaceleración significativa, para posteriormente reorientarse hacia sectores y regiones estratégicas. Este análisis examina la evolución de la inversión china en el exterior entre 2015 y 2024, abarcando los volúmenes totales de inversión, el equilibrio entre operaciones de fusiones y adquisiciones (M&A, por sus siglas en inglés) y proyectos greenfield, así como la distribución geográfica y sectorial de dichos flujos. Se analizan los factores subyacentes que han condicionado estas tendencias, desde las políticas internas y los cambios estructurales de la economía china hasta consideraciones geopolíticas y las respuestas de los países receptores.
