Resumen

This paper aims to investigate the recent situation about the sustainability in countries worldwide according to the Sustainable Society Index. The Partial Triadic Analysis multivariate strategy (a generalization of the Principal Component Analysis for three-dimensional data) was used to analyze the relations among countries and indicators along the period 2006-2016. The achieved outcomes highlight that social and economic indicators, such as Public Debt, are related to countries having higher incomes, that is, countries with higher incomes pay more attention to the social and economic sustainability, while countries with lower incomes are more connected with environmental issues. Also, with this procedure, the conceivable evolution of the countries or indicators during the period can be highlighted, that is, how each country behaved about sustainability along the time.
